    DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
    SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner is a green, non-abrasive activating chemical compound containing triethanolamine dodecyl benzene sulfonate, alcohol ethoxylate and sodium tripolyphosphates. When mixed with water, it forms a powerful, all-purpose cleaning solution that removes dirt, grease, grime and microscopic particles.

    OUTSTANDING FEATURES:
     UNIQUE CLEANING ACTION
    The cleaning action of SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner is a result of the interaction of the active ingredients with water. The triethanolamine dodecyl benzene sulfonate is a powerful, non-abrasive detergent that breaks down dirt, grease and grime. Alcohol ethoxylate is a non-ionic detergent which increases the cleaning action of Zonex-K, and also acts as a
    surfactant to diminish surface tension. It allows Zonex-K to lift dirt and grime from the surface
    and hold it in suspension so the surface rinses clean. The sodium tripolyphosphates aid the cleaning action of the detergents. Aside from cleaning, these special ingredients also have the capability of breaking down the minerals contained in the water, causing Zonex-K to have a sheeting action that helps prevent streaking and spotting.

    VERSATILE, ALL PURPOSE CLEANING
    SWEPCO ZONEX-K Industrial Cleaner can be used on anything washable. For most cleaning jobs, a 1 to 128 mix ratio to water is sufficient. To remove heavy deposits of greasy dirt and grime, it can be mixed with a solvent such as Kerosene. Zonex-K has a special additive that makes it as effective in hard water as in soft water. Zonex-K can be used for general purpose cleaning in every type business, institution and industry.
    Zonex-K is the ideal cleaning product for service stations, airports, auto showrooms and dealerships, restaurants, country clubs, department stores, auto rental agencies, printing companies, manufacturing plants, colleges and universities, banks, government buildings, armed forces facilities, trucking companies and apartment complexes.
    CONCENTRATED FOR ECONOMY
    For most cleaning purposes, one gallon (4 liters) of SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner makes 128 gallons (485 liters) of cleaning solution which makes it very economical. It also cuts costs and reduces inventory because it takes the place of many other cleaners, cleansers, soaps, solvents, detergents, degreasers and ammonia. Zonex-K even replaces specialty products like window cleaners and wax removers. (It easily removes wax from asphalt tile, rubber tile, linoleum floor coverings, cork, wood, terrazzo and concrete floors.) But its economy is emphasized by the fact that only one ounce (30 ml) of Zonex-K, when mixed with water at a 1:128 cleaner-to-water ratio, can clean up to 2,000square feet (200m2). And there's no waste with Zonex-K because it is extremely stable and has no tendency to evaporate, separate or settle out. And a special preservative insures that the last
    ounce in the container is as strong and effective as the first one was.
    SIMPLE AND SAFE TO USE
    SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner is simple and safe to use. It is non-flammable and produces no harmful fumes. Its PH value in diluted strength (7.2 to 7.8) is one of the lowest in cleaning products, and insures that it won't harm skin or delicate surfaces. It is non-abrasive and contains no harmful alkalis, so it won't harm the lustre of metal, plastic, glass or wood.No special tools or techniques are required for mixing Zonex-K, and it is used just as other cleaning solutions. Mix ratios and application techniques for both ordinary and special cleaning jobs are contained in the application
    instructions.
    STORAGE
     SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner has an indefinite shelf life provided containers are kept tightly sealed. It will freeze at temperatures lower than 16°F (-9°C). If transferred to smaller containers for application or storage, only containers of glass, plastic or lined metal should be sued. Unlined metal containers will rust after prolonged contact with Zonex-K.

    APPLICATION INFORMATION

    SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner is a non-abrasive, highly concentrated activating chemical cleaner. When mixed with water, it forms a powerful,
    all purpose cleaning solution that removes dirt, grease, grime and microscopic particles. It is completely biodegradable, non-streaking and leaves the
    clean surface with a fresh pleasant smell. SWEPCO Zonex-K surpasses, U.S. Federal Specification P-D220D, Type II, Class II. This specification
    applies to General Purpose Detergents as defined by the U. S. Government.
    CLEANING PROCEDURE:
    Most normal cleaning jobs require only 1 ounce of SWEPCO Zonex-K Industrial Cleaner for 1 gallon of clean water (7.5 ml/liter). Cleaning may be done with mop, brush, sponge or cloth as in normal cleaning procedures. Special applications and mix ratios follow:
    WAX REMOVAL: Mix 1 pint Zonex-K with 1 gallon of water (.125 liter/liter).
    Apply with mop and let stand for five minutes. Do not allow the mixture to
    dry! Buff with No. 3 grade steel wool and rinse the floor twice.
    CONCRETE SURFACES: Mix 1 part Zonex-K to 5 parts solvent, preferably
    kerosene. For good emulsification, first thoroughly mix 1 part Zonex-K with 1
    part kerosene, then add remaining 4 parts of solvent. Apply with heavy
    brush, let soak and rinse with a high pressure hose. One gallon (3.79 liters) of
    solution cleans approximately 150 sq. ft. (13.94 m2).
    MACHINERY AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT:
    Add 1 to 6 ounces of Zonex-K to each gallon of water (7.5 to 45 ml/
    liter). Apply mixture, allowing cleaner to remain on heavily soiled areas for five
    to ten minutes. Wipe surface clean and rinse.
    ENGINES: Warm engine before
    cleaning. Add 1 part Zonex-K to 5 parts kerosene. Apply with brush,
    letting the solution soak and rinse with a high pressure hose.
    HAND WASHING: For an effective hand cleaner which can be used in
    liquid soap dispensers, mix a solution of 1/2 Zonex-K and 1/2 water.
    STEAM CLEANING: Mix 1 part
    Zonex-K to 25 parts of cold water. A stronger solution may be required for
    heavily soiled areas.
    TANK CLEANING AND DIP BATH:
    Mix 1 part Zonex-K to 25 parts of cold water in a cleaning tank. Agitation
    speeds cleaning.
    STUBBORN STAINS: For stubborn
    cleaning jobs, add more Zonex-K than is specified in the instructions. For quick
    cleaning of stains and fingerprints, pour full strength Zonex-K onto a sponge or
    cloth and wipe clean.
    PRECAUTIONS: SWEPCO Zonex-K

    EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
    Contact with eyes or prolonged or repeated contact with skin can cause
    irritation and inflammation. Ingestion can produce symptoms similar to
    alcohol intoxication progressing to unconsciousness with convulsions and
    death; aspiration into lungs can cause serious injury or death.
    FIRST AIR PROCEDURES:
    Eye Contact - Flush with water for 15 minutes. If pain or redness persists,
    seek medical attention immediately.
    Skin Contact - Wash thoroughly with soap and water after wiping off excess material. If irritation persists, seek
    medical attention.
    Ingestion - Do NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
